About this Speaker
Roger is a veteran of the USAF after his service he worked in the airline business as an Aircraft Engineer for 35 years. He is the author of America Should be Grateful to Haiti. The book examines the life of the Taino in Haiti prior to 1492 and compares it to life in Europe at the same time. Living in Oklahoma for fifteen years afforded him the opportunity to meet survivors of both the Tulsa Massacre and the Osage reign of terror. The theme that runs through the various stories in the book highlights where people were slaughtered for achieving economic success.
Roger used his background in Aircraft Engineering to do a root cause analysis on most of the historical events covered in the book. This brings a new perspective to the DE & I discussion.
He has appeared on The World Tonight news program on Black News Channel four times and on Prime with Charles Blow on the same network. Roger also did a half-hour interview with Dr. Benjamin Chavis of the Chavis Chronicles which aired on PBS in October.
